Hotels:
Thanks to our partnership with Arizona State University, attendees have access to specially negotiated ASU booking rates at select nearby hotels. Use the links below to access any discounted rates (see each listing for full details). Many of these hotels also honor a limited number of rooms at federally negotiated rates for ASU guests – please inquire with the hotel directly before booking.
While all of these hotels are near the ASU campus, some may be closer to the Memorial Union where the conference is held than others. See below for details on public transportation options that connects many of these hotels to the university center, airport, and other popular regional destinations.

Dorms:
Policies at ASU to ensure pandemic health and safety have complicated options for accessing low-cost dorm rooms. We are working to confirm whether dorms will be available as a reasonable option for attendees. If you were depending on dorm rates to facilitate your attendance, please consider the following options: a) share a room with another attendee – CSA Connect is a great space to seek roommates, b) think about volunteering to offset registration rates- details here.

Transportation Around Tempe:
A free bus called the Tempe Orbit serves the Tempe areas. From the website: “There are six Orbit routes: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. All routes operate seven days a week, 365 days a year with 15-minute frequency on most routes.
The Orbit routes use “flag” stops, which means that the driver will pick up and drop off passengers in neighborhoods as long as it’s safe. Passengers should wave at the driver to let him or her know that they would like to be picked up. On major streets like Mill Avenue, University Drive, and Broadway Road, designated bus stops should be used. To get off the bus in a neighborhood, passengers should pull the cord located near the windows. On major streets like Rural Road or Priest Drive, designated bus stops should be used.”
Transportation to other regional cities:
A Flix Bus connects to Flagstaff, Tuscon, and other regional cities for low fares.

This is a kind of ethics that is advancing rapidly in light of the current global crisis as many stakeholders know how critical biodiversity is to the human species (e.g., public health, women’s rights, social and environmental justice).
⚠ UNESCO also affirms that respect for biological diversity implies respect for societal and cultural diversity, as both elements are intimately interconnected and fundamental to global well-being and peace. (Source).
