What does full registration include?
Your full registration includes workshop admittance up to capacity for each session, except where additional fee is noted. Also included are evening receptions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, continental breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday, and entry into all technical sessions.
Should I register if I’m only planning to attend Friday night and Saturday?
All speakers and participants in the CitiSci2017 conference must register to attend the event. If you are not planning to attend multiple days, there is a one day fee. Registering makes everything run smoother because someone from your organization will officially be in our system allowing us to account for you, get you an official nametag and other materials, and cover the costs of managing the event. We created these events as a part of the conference in order to provide a service to our community–giving program attendees visibility to both the public and the field. The single-day registration rate for Saturday is a relatively low $100, if that is the only portion of the conference you will be attending. It would be great if you could register so that all those synergies named above could come to fruition.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Until 5/10/2017, full refund less a $50 administrative fee. After 5/10/2017, no refunds, but substitutions will be allowed.
Where can I manage my registration details?
Regardless of your CSA membership status, log in here.
The person who submitted our abstract is different from the person who will actually be presenting. How do we make sure the correct speaker is listed in the program, and getting informational emails about the conference?
Please email wren.crain@gmail.com and explain this situation. The abstract system is rather finicky about “roles” associated with an abstract and we are manually tracking these instances.
I can’t get the links to work, what should I do?
On some phones, the registration and membership links do not work. We are working to resolve this, but in the meantime you can find those links here:

The CSA’s contact details are the same as our fiscal sponsor, the Schoodic Institute. The address is as follows:
Citizen Science Association
c/o Schoodic Institute
PO Box 277
Winter Harbor, ME 04693
For a statement of our affiliation, please see our Who We Are page.
I’m not sure which extra events I want to participate in yet, do I have to choose during registration?
No. If you’re not sure which workshops, field trips or other events you’d like to sign up for, you don’t have to feel pressured to choose when you are registering.
Making changes later on is easy:
- Log in here.
- In the “Did you know?” box, click “manage even registrations”
- Click “Modify”
- Finally, “edit ticket options”
This will allow you to view and sign up for any events that have remaining space, and will prompt payment for those that have associated fees.
