What is Citizen Science?

The Oxford English Dictionary recently defined citizen science as: “scientific work undertaken by members of the general public, often in collaboration with or under the direction of professional scientists and scientific institutions.”

CitizenScience.org aims to harness the knowledge gained by practitioners and researchers across the field of citizen science to build collaboration, community and credibility.

For Site Users

We are building out the site to facilitate cross-disciplinary idea sharing, and will be reaching out to users to understand what tools will be most useful.
