2023 Winter Session Enrolling Soon
Join four live, engaged sessions with experienced colleagues in this field to actively discuss and workshop anti-racism efforts for your project, program, and partnerships.
The course, led by the community science team at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, is based on insights gained from dedicated efforts to make their programs Anti-racist. In partnership with CSA, this team has developed this course to be specific to community/citizen science, and relevant to projects of all scales and settings (local to universal).
By joining this cohort-based course with others who are actively engaged in building anti-racist practices in this field, you will learn together, build relationships, share experiences, and find support as you deepen your own knowledge, skills, and practices. This engaged course format is designed for those who have already done significant personal transformation work and can commit time to engaging in live sessions*.
Four two-hour virtual sessions (Jan 31, Feb 7, 14, 21; 1-3pm ET/ 9-11am PT) will help participants explore together the actions they can commit to in re-engineering their community/citizen science projects, programs, and partnership they currently run, and creating new ones that are actively anti-racist from the start.
Enrollment for the winter cohort of the Anti-Racism in Community/Citizen Science course opens for members on CSA Connect Jan 18th, 2023. Spaces are limited. Join CSA as a member for access to this course.
